Kitchen of Cakes and Coffee

Kairita.

So we decided to walk around para maghanap ng ibang coffee shop. We passed by a place called Kitchen of Cakes and Coffee. Mukhang ok naman ang ambiance ng lugar, and I saw that they had a lot of cakes so sabi ko dun nalang kami. Bet naman nung dalawa.

Umorder yung dalawa ng Dulce De Leche and I ordered a Cheesecake with blueberry and strawberry shit  on top. I did not like my cake. No I did not. I am a man of discriminating taste and I was not pleased at all since I have a certain fondness for cheesecakes.

First, I could taste the flour, meaning either the batter was not mixed properly or they did not use enough cream cheese to make it. Second, the strawberry tasted bad so it's obvious that the cake was not new. Third, the blueberry syrup was too runny.

The Dulce De Leche was good though. So note to self, should I pass by this place again, steer clear of the cheesecakes.

I cannot remember the name of this drink, but I think we all ordered the same thing. It was ok. Not bad, not really good. Just ok.

Si Bongga and her new haircut.

Ellaine and her new hairstyle.

Hindi marunong kumuha ng picture si ate. Against the light.

At dahil maaga pa and it was a Friday night, naglakad lakad kami sa loob ng SM. Dumaan kami ng Fully Booked and I saw a set of books sa may dulo.

I honestly thought that it said, "It was a dark and horny night". When I realized my blunder, I burst out laughing and I told Bongga who was close by what happened and she started laughing too.

Masaya naman ang naging gabi namin. After a tiring and stress-filled week from work, theres nothing better than hanging out with the company of good friends.

Award!

My boss gave me a project to do a few days ago.

I've been working on it non-stop to make it as perfect as it can get.

Naka-focus talaga ang attention ko sa ginagawa ko nag biglang may marinig akong nag-iingay a few bays away from me..

Dedma lang.

Dedma lang.

Dedma lang.

Nag iingay parin.

Back to work.

Dedma ulit.

AS IN.

I could not concentrate.

Seconds felt like minutes and minutes felt like hours.

Nagpipigil ako. Mukha bang palengke ang office?

Ano pang silbi na may sarili kaming Instant Messenger.

I had much more important things to worry about.

Hindi parin tumitigil ang ingay.

That was it.

Tumayo ako.

Naglakad papunta sa bay nung nag iingay.

I stared the person down and in the calmest most sarcastic tone I could muster at that moment I said,

"Could you please lower down your voice or use the office messenger?! Madami kaming tinatapos eh!"

Yes, tinandaan ko talaga ang sinabi ko.

Natahimik siya bigla.

Tumalikod ako.

Bumalik ako sa desk ko.

Nawala ang ingay.

At hindi na bumalik.

Hangang matapos ang shift.

Remitocoko

There's this guy on YouTube I've been listening to lately. He calls himself Remitocoko and he is a 22 year old singer from Paris.

He does english and french songs and so far this is my favorite.

Aside from that, ang gwapo niya!

He seriously has the most piercing blue eyes I've ever seen.

I dont know why, but theres something about his voice that I find dreamy.

His voice is something I'd call an acquired taste because it really does sound strange at first but after a few lines, you kinda get lost in it.

He's gwapo OK naman diba?

Piece of Advice

"Anong oras break mo?"

Pwede ba kita kausapin? May gusto akong sabihin sayo eh", sagot niya.

"Sige sure.

"Tara yosi tayo", sagot niya.

"Kung buntis ako, ibig sabihin nun may sex life ako!

"Eh gusto ka naman pala nila eh, eh di ibig sabihin niyan gusto lang nila makita na you can maintain a good record."

"Eh syempre iba yun, iba din to.

Totoo yun dear readers. When I was still an agent, I tried several times to apply for a promotion but I always got rejected. It even came to a point na hindi na ako kinonsider para sa initial interview. For a brief period in my professional life many months ago, napagdaanan ko din yung phase na tinamad na akong magwork. I got bored. I got tired of the repetitive tasks. I incurred a lot of late's and absences.

But with the help of my friends and our leadership team who still kept their faith in me, I managed to pull myself back on top. I was no longer late and not once did I miss work ever again.

Kaya I see the point kung bakit ako ang tinakbuhan ng lukaret na si Cordelia.

Makakarelate nga naman kasi ako in a way.

Nung dumating na yung para sa akin, it was more than what I wished for. Hindi mo man makuha yan ngayon, ibig sabihin its not for you.

"Salamat baks", bulong niya.

Napangiti nalang ako.

God Bless The Broken Road

I was watching this on YouTube when I noticed the comment's section. I was taken aback by one of the comments posted there.

"Thinking about using this for my wedding.

Thing is he and I were married before, for 17 years, then divorced and it's been about 17 years snce then.

Saw him for the first time in 15 years Labor Day Weekend. He said "I want my Wife Back". And I said "ok".

We plan to get married Dec. 20--our original wedding day, and what would have been our 35th anniversary if we'd stayed together all these years.
What do you think? Would this song be appropriate?"

I was speechless. Completely and utterly speechless.

Disney ain't got nothin' on that.

This has been one of my favorite songs. Listening to the melody and lyrics made me once dream of love and that the person meant for me is out there somewhere.

Guilty Pleasures

When I'm stressed dahil sa work, I indulge in some of my guilty pleasures. Lately, ito ang mga nilalantakan ko when I need a little pick-me-up.

Mogu-Mogu

Ewan ko ba kung ano ang meron sa drink na to, it's addicting. It tastes like regular juice but it's filled with nata de coco. I saw Bongga drinking this so I had a sip, after an hour lumabas ako ng office at pumunta ng 7/11 para bumili.

In fairness, refreshing siya.

Selecta Hershey's Reeses

I've been planning to buy a tub of this just to taste it for the longest time pero ewan ko ba kung bakit hindi ako bumibili.

Though I may be biased because my favorite brand of chocolate is Reese's :)

Tutti Frutti

Earlier today, I was desperately craving for something sweet but I couldn't decide what to buy.

I don't eat healthy do I?

What Would You Do?

I've been following a series of episodes from ABC's "What Would You Do?" for quite some time now. Based on the time stamp, this seems to be their latest episode and I must say that this by far has been the best one for me.

The letter from the guy was very moving and inspirational and it makes you think that there's still some good left in the world.

If this happened here in the Philippines, I wonder if people would do the same.

Watch the video to know what I mean.

So if you were in a scenario such as this, I dare ask, what would you do?

Shoes!

Remember those shoes I drooled over last year?

Well I kinnda have them na :)

They look great pero sinusumpa ko tong mga sapatos na to because it is very hard to walk with then.

But I like how they look so that's that.
