Cherry Mobile

I've heard and read about Cherry Mobile for a few months now. Then when my cousin came to the house, he had one. It was the model Comet. Heres how I found out that it was a phone:

Kino: (Removes something from his pocket)
Adam: Whats that?
Kino: A cellphone.
Adam: What??? I thought it was a lighter or an MP3 player!
Both: Hahaha

Its smaller than a pack of cigs. My cousin said that the phone costs 950php. Fairly cheap isnt it. Its so cute. I SERIOUSLY thought it was a lighter. Hahaha

Super Lighter

I was at Vigan with my mom when I saw a shop selling this big ass lighter so I bought one. Well this solves my problem of losing my lighters. I'd be the dumbest person on this planet if I still lose a lighter this big. Hahaha

Flash Mobs

I was browsing YouTube when I came across a few videos of Flash Mobs. These are really awesome. Here are some of the ones I like. Watch them, they're really cool. Theres also a video of one here in the Philippines at MOA.

CD-R King at SM City Baguio

They FINALLY opened a Cyberzone at SM Baguio. After all these years, there's finally a cyberzone. Albeit its small and might only have 4 or 5 shops but what Im happy about is that there's a CD-R King. This is the place where you can buy the cheapest crap for your computer. They have almost everything at very reasonable prices. Good luck to the other shops around baguio, their biggest competition just arrived. The picture above is the picture of the branch in SM Baguio. It looks exactly like the one in SM Megamall only smaller.

SM Light Show

Well isn't this new. SM City Baguio started this light show thing. It happens every night wherein they switch all of the lights in the top floor and these lights(look at picture) are the only ones that light up the floor. I dont like the jingle they play but I like the lights for some reason. Reminds me of Cirque Du Soleil. LOL.

James Cameron's Avatar

The reason why I haven't posted anything in days is that because I've been sick and I twisted my ankle really bad. Until now its still in bandages and my foot has been purple for a few days now. Yesterday I was feeling a little better so I went out for some fresh air and to watch James Cameron's Avatar.

I've been waiting for this movie for months. I first read about it earlier this year and I was excited because lets face it, James Cameron is a genius. His last film was titanic and that was in 1997. Yesterday was the first day it was showed here so I went to mall. Bandages and all. My fever wasnt that high so I was able to manage but by the time I got home from he movie my fever was back and worse than ever but I didnt care because I was soooo happy that I was able to watch Avatar.

Now about the movie, one of the reasons I wanted to watch it was because I wanted to see if they could pull off the photo-realistic computer-generated characters by using motion-capture animation technology and oh hell yeah they did!

The story was, well, a typical sci-fi themed love story but it was nice. The first hour of the movie was boring but when Jake Sully started to shift his alliance to the Na'Vi, the movie got interesting. The battle between the soldiers and the Na'Vi clan of Pandora was heart-stopping, I enjoyed every second of it.

The way they depicted Pandora and its inhabitants which includes the animals, the natives and even the plants were fantastic. The place was somewhat believable and I would seriously enjoy to live on a planet like that.

Im a sci-fi geek so I really love sci-fi movies. Thats why I was able to appreciate Avatar. I expected a lot from Avatar and Im glad that I didnt waste my time and energy watching this movie. I say that this is a MUST SEE movie before the year ends. Seriously!

Im on Windows 7

I spent the whole afternoon at Pizza Volante at SM with AA. For some time now, something has been wrong with my laptop, there are conflicts in my system specially in my laptops hardware. It was the last straw for me when my mom bought me a wireless mouse at Silicone Valley in SM Megamall and my laptop wont recognize it. So I immediately contacted AA and asked him to reformat my laptop.

So the moment I got back to Baguio, I met up with AA and he reformated my laptop. Now Im running on Windows 7 Ultimate. This OS rocks, I love the Windows Shake function where you shake an open application and all other open applications minimize. I also like the slideshow background. It took him about 2 hours to reformat my laptop and the rest was spent updating it and installing drivers and applications. I hear that Windows 7 is more stable than Vista so I hope I dont experience any problems in the future. Plus AA has been raving about it for some time now. And the best part is that my wireless mouse works hahaha.

Anyway I love Windows 7 and a BIG thanks to AA for fixing my laptop.

Glee on Edsa

I saw this on Edsa, I couldnt get a close up of the billboard because I was in the car. So glee is actually getting more famous ei? Seems like yesterday when only a few people knew about Glee, I was one of those people, look for my post about it, it was sometime in June. Still, I dont marathon Glee like I do House or Supernatural but I like watching it from time to time, thank god for torrents, its easier to get a copy of the latest episodes.

My Mom's new Car

She gave up the CRV for a Starex. At least now theres more space when we travel. And I like it because its cold and has a lot of leg room.

A Piece of Heaven

This place is called "ISDAAN" and is found somewhere in Tarlac (I think). When I woke up, the car was already parked and everyone was getting out. Its a really big place and its really really awesome. Its looks like Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia all rolled into one place. The food was great though it took forever for them to serve. Whats nice about this place is that it floats on water. Seriously. You stay in Huts and those huts float on water so you get to see all the fish that swim. Scroll down for some pics. There are more on my Facebook page. I really like the Buddha Statues because they look so authentic.

Comic Alley

Comic Alley is one of my favorite shops in SM so I make it a point that when I go to Manila, I go to comic alley and buy something. This time I bought a Fullmetal Alchemist Rubber Mousepad (because my Final Fantasy VII Mousepad is almost worn out), and I bought a watch. Its a Final Fantasy VII watch. It has this on the middle:
Its really cool, it doesnt even look like an anime inspired watch. Im sure that when Zeke seems me wearing this, he'll try to kill me. Though its my Fullmetal Alchemist Watch that he really wants but still, its Final Fantasy. hahaha.

Edsa Shangri-La

This is where we stayed. The room was a little expensive but the place was good. The staff were really nice, they smiled all the time that after a day it started to feel creepy. hahaha. The pool was nice but I wasnt able to take pictures of it. What I love about this hotel is that it's beside SM Megamall, its near Robinsons and Shangri-La Plaza. Plus its about 20 or 30 minutes away from Greenbelt if you take a cab. Anyway, I really enjoyed my stay at Edsa Shangri-La.

Power Rangers!!!

I was walking around Megamall when I saw that there was this Power Rangers event. I didnt know that exact name of the event, all I know it had something to do with Jungle Fury. If you're a regular reader of my blog or if you know me personally then you know that I like Power Rangers. LOL. I dont know why, but ever since I was young I loved watching power rangers. I remember my dad buying me all 5 weapons from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and my mom bought me the power morpher and the gunsword for my 9th birthday. Hahaha.
